On Saturday, June 9, 2007, Reverchon Park was the site for a fun day of FREE events for those attending the ¡Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!™ annual celebration in Dallas, Texas. Participants enjoyed the indoor and outdoor activities including rock climbing, soccer games, tennis, dancing classes, and fabulous cooking demonstrations. They even had the opportunity to join the Pasos Saludables group in a walk. Free health screenings were also available. A highlight were booths and demonstrations by the Dallas Mavericks basketball team and Dallas Desperados Dancers. Food, entertainment and giveaways of health and fitness-related prizes, were part of the day’s numerous activities and attractions that even included active video dance and bike games.

About the Dallas Concilio of Hispanic Service Organization (Dallas Concilio): The Dallas Concilio of Hispanic Service Organization is a non-profit organization serving the Greater Dallas Community since 1981. A diverse volunteer board of directors governs the agency and staff is made up of bilingual and bicultural professionals with years of experience working with the Hispanic community. They serve as an umbrella organization for groups addressing the various needs of the Hispanic community. They provide assistance to their Network of Affiliates with initiating programs for the Hispanic community, which are then administered by agencies that specialize in that particular area.
