This report details the impact of Nuestras Voces (Our Voices), a project designed to expand Hispanic youth activism in tobacco control. The report provides the findings of a series of focus groups with Hispanic youth on tobacco use and control, the results of a tobacco advertising assessment conducted by teams of Hispanic youth in five cities, effective youth oriented tobacco control efforts, and a fact sheet on tobacco use in Hispanic communities.

Tobacco Action KitTobacco Action Kit

This Action Kit is designed to support youth in communities to: (1) count the number of the outlets (i.e. convenience stores, drugs stores, grocery stores, gas satin and vending machines, etc.) that sell cigarettes within 1,000 feet of public playgrounds and elementary and secondary schools in their neighborhood;(2) document the level of tobacco advertising in stores; and, (3) document compliance with newly enacted bans on transit and outdoor advertisement.
