Let’s Talk About Cancer/Hablemos del cáncer
Let’s Talk About Cancer is a five-year program effort that identifies and responds to community-based needs along the continuum of cancer services (prevention, early detection, and survivorship) for cancers of the cervix, skin, and ovaries in Hispanic communities. The program works with three lead agencies to conduct program efforts in San Diego, CA; San Antonio, TX; and New York, NY.
¡Infórmate! Get Informed!
This is a unique program in partnership with Merck to develop a culturally-relevant HPV and cervical cancer awareness and education campaign. Key to delivering the message and informing the community is a bilingual resource kit of six forward-looking print and web materials geared for parents, young adults, and providers. ¡Infórmate! works locally with sites in Chicago, the Oakland and San Francisco Bay Areas, and New York City. A major component of the program provides key information to consumers and providers through the Su Familia and Prenatal Helplines and through the bilingual website http://www.informatehpv.org
