Cuidando su corazón – Caring for Your Heart is a comprehensive bilingual guide that focuses on answering the most common questions people ask their health care providers about heart health. The user friendly guide covers topics such as heart disease and atherosclerosis, the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, information on eating heart healthy, and how to understand cholesterol levels and blood pressure readings. Cuidando su corazón – Caring for Your Heart was developed by the National Alliance for Hispanic Health with scientific review from the American Heart Association and the support of AstraZeneca.

Callers to 1-866-SU-FAMILIA speak to bilingual and culturally proficient health information specialists. Callers can receive free basic health information, information about ¡Vive tu Vida! Get Up! Get Moving!™ family healthy lifestyle events in their city, resources and health information on cardiovascular disease, or consumer-friendly fact sheets on a range of other health issues. Also, by providing their zip code, callers can receive referrals to one of over 20,000 local health providers, including community and migrant health centers. The Su Familia Helpline is available from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.
